360 MALL wins a Gold and two Silvers in the ICSC 2016 Middle East and North Africa Shopping Centre and Retailer Awards

360 MALL, Kuwait’s iconic mall by Tamdeen Shopping Centers Company, picked up one gold and two silver awards from the International Council of Shopping Centers (ICSC) in the ‘Customer Service Experience and/or Engagement’ and ‘Cause Related Marketing’ categories.

ICSC announced the winners of the 2016 Middle East and North Africa Shopping Centre and Retailer Awards at the ICSC MENA Awards Gala, part of the RECon MENA conference held at Ritz Carlton DIFC, Dubai, recognizing the region’s most innovative shopping centres for outstanding achievement in Marketing, Design & Development and Retail categories.

The mall’s extensive ‘Customer Service’ campaign was recognized in the form of a Gold Award in the ‘Customer Service Experience and/or Engagement’ category. The ‘We Make Happy’ campaign was rolled out in 360 MALL across 20 services to cater to various demographics, including women and children, in an effort to enhance the retail experience of its shoppers and further drive growth.

360 MALL also received two Silver Awards in the ‘Customer Service Experience and/or Engagement’ and ‘Cause Related Marketing’ categories for the launch of a dedicated ‘Mother and Baby Lounge’ in direct response to the demand of mothers to enhance their convenience during their visit to the mall. 360 MALL is the first in Kuwait to understand and embrace the needs of its largest customer segment – young women with children.

The lounge is an example of the mall’s deep commitment to understanding the needs of its shoppers and providing quality service through innovation.

“This combined with our extensive customer service campaign which saw 14 dedicated staff providing services from phone chargers to porters to carry shopping bags to the car, is a reflection of how 360 MALL goes the extra mile with solutions to customer problems.”

Aimed at providing an inviting home away from home and an easy experience for nursing mothers, the spacious 120 sqm ‘Mother and Baby Lounge’ features a wide range of amenities that include private nursing rooms with comfortable sofas, a fully equipped kitchenette and a lounge area that allows mothers who are shopping to take a break and tend to their children up to the age of four years.

All 2016 Middle East and North Africa Shopping Centre and Retailer Award Gold winners, including 360 MALL, are automatically eligible to win the ICSC Best-of-the-Best Global “VIVA” (Vision, Innovation, Value, Achievement) Awards to be announced in 2017.
